AMAL MEGA PROJECT
#PROVIDING BASIC STATIONERY TO UNDERPRIVILEGE STUDENTS IN SCHOOL
Background
Pakistan is facing a serious challenge to ensure all children, particularly the most disadvantaged, attend, stay, and learn in school. Currently, Pakistan has the world’s second-highest number of out-of-school children (OOSC) with an estimated 22.8 million children aged 5–16 not attending school. In Pakistan dropout rate at the primary level is 33% (Government of Pakistan, 2017) which is at a very high side.
A major cause of high rates of dropout
Poverty: poverty is a major cause to not be in school. Most families in poor countries would prefer to send children to school instead of work, but they cannot afford the costs of child schooling Unfortunately, there are too many kids who go to school but do not get basic stationery such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, pens, color boxes, school bags, etc.
Challenge
Offering school stationary is the basis to secure the education process. To guarantee that poverty will not prevent children from learning, I decide to provide basic stationery to underprivileged students in school.
Solution
1. I discuss the problem and solution with my family and friend they all encourage me to do this kind of act.
2. I know many areas where students in school do not have even basic stationery (notebooks, pencils, erasers, pens, color boxes, school bags, etc) for learning because they do not afford it.
3. I will collect funds and through my own investment buy the basic stationery and distribute it among needy students.
